Former President Nelson Mandela left a worldwide legacy of service, peace & speaking up for justice.
During his birthday month in July, we dedicate 67 minutes or units of service, in commemoration of his 67 year dedication to the fight for freedom, justice and equality.
Basic Food Items
During this month, when South Africans should be celebrating a beautiful legacy, violent riots and looting have erupted throughout the country, leaving even more people without basic food items, baby formula and nappies/diapers. Lwandiselo asks for your help, to provide 67 food parcels to families who have been left without any food or toiletries during this pandemic.
Schooling
Education stats for children in South Africa, have been worsened by the pandemic. Every child deserves a chance at fulfilling their potential. Many young bright minds are deprived of learning the knowledge and skills that can help them flourish and participate in society and the economy.
Although it is a right, many children still do now have access. Many lack clothing, food, sanitary towels, stationery and much, which will help them succeed in their school endeavours. Lwandiselo asks for your help, to get access for these young children
Pledge to those that have been affected by the riots as we rebuild South Africa.
While there have been elements that have been behind the riots and unrest in the country, South Africans have found ways to band together and assist each other as a the nation has remained tense.
South Africans from all walks have said, “Not on my watch” and have ensured that there has been a redistribution of resources and small businesses that are at the brink of closing pivot to ensuring operations continue.
It is anticipated that there will be an increase in covid cases due to this week’s events.
We would like to thank our friends from around the world for offering their support.
